Helping you leave a final gift of love to those closest to you after you are gone.

Background

Having lost my husband very suddenly to a heart attack, it turned my life upside-down. I was devasted, and whilst trying to process that he was gone forever, I had to start making difficult decisions and dealing with his estate, which was genuinely daunting as I was left in the dark. I spent my days searching for documents, pieces of information, passwords, and all sorts of personal data that I never thought I would need, feeling frantic!

What if I had a file with all the info at hand when I needed it the most?

I am Lauritta Theron, and I want to help you and your family prepare for the rough time when death knocks at your door. With my administrative background, working in the financial sector for twenty years, and first-hand experience dealing with my husband’s passing, I created Estate File ZA. It is a simple concept that encourages you to store nonsensitive and highly confidential information about your life in one place to make things easier for those left behind after you are gone. Keeping an updated estate file brings peace of mind, knowing that the ones left behind will have no difficulty acting out your wishes.

Remember, your estate file does not form part of or replace your will.
Having an updated will to stipulate your wishes and distribute assets after your death is still crucial. An estate file is not a legally binding document but more of a means to provide private and personal information on your behalf to finalise your estate.

Estate File ZA Services

What is an Estate File?

No one wants to think about dying, especially at a young age. Still, unfortunately, it is inevitable for all of us. The final gift of love we can give our loved ones is to have all our ducks in a row when the time comes, which is not always at an old age. Keeping a file with all relevant information needed by Estate Administrators and those closest to you can give everyone peace of mind and simplify all post-death processes.

This is why you need Estate File ZA

The vast majority of us will never take the time to get a file in order because we simply don’t know when the day will come, and for some, it comes unexpectedly and too soon. The few hours we spend now to prepare your file will save your loved ones hours, days, weeks, or months of frustration, unwanted burdens, and holding up finalising the estate.

Estate File ZA has done all the thinking; you only need to take action.

We’ll guide you in gathering all the information you are willing to share and putting it into one document.

You will receive a checklist of documents or information needed to complete your file. These can be any relevant documents such as policy documents, bank statements, marriage certificates and divorce decrees.

Estate File ZA will send three monthly reminders to insert the outstanding information into your file.

You can complete sensitive information such as usernames and passwords, safe combinations, and online banking details without sharing it with anyone.

All information gathered by Estate File ZA is safe and will not be shared with any third party. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement with those wishing to do so.

Be sure to share your estate file with someone you trust. Locking your file in a safe to which nobody has access is pointless.
